Event Details
Join us for the February meeting of the Dunbar Literary Society on February 3rd at 2 PM! We will be discussing Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus: a delightful and heartwarming read that blends humor, science, and a touch of rebellion. Following the journey of Elizabeth Zott, an unconventional scientist in the 1960s who finds herself teaching chemistry on a TV cooking show where she inadvertently becomes a feminist icon. With sharp wit, a quirky cast of characters, and an empowering message about defying expectations, this book explores everything from scientific discovery to love, loss, and finding your voice. We will have limited copies (10 copies) of the book available for checkout at our library, so come grab your copy and meet fellow book lovers as we discuss this hilarious tale. All are welcome—whether you're a lifelong reader or new to book clubs, we can't wait to share this literary journey with you!
