There are many ways to support the library you love, so join us today and become an active part of our community. KCPL provides cutting edge services and a wide range of materials for everyone in Kanawha County, thanks to supporters like you.
Get a Card
One of the best and easiest ways to support the library is to use it! By getting and using a library card, you help us determine the kinds of materials and services the community needs most. Library cards are free, so apply today.
Donate
You can provide material support to the library by donating to our annual fund, donating gently-used books and media to our used book sales, or participating in our Title Adoption Program. The Title Adoption Program allows you to fund the purchase of a book, CD, DVD or other item in honor or memory of a person or to commemorate a special occasion.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of The Library Foundation of Kanawha County is an organization of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about supporting the library’s vision and mission. Their advocacy work and fundraising efforts support many of the classes and events KCPL offers, and they always welcome new members.
KCPL Library Foundation
The Library Foundation of Kanawha County, Inc. is a separate non-profit organization that provides supplemental financial support for KCPL. The Foundation sponsors events and campaigns throughout the year to raise money, increase awareness, and support the vision of the library.
Volunteer
If you would like to support the library with your time, KCPL has volunteer opportunities available for both teens and adults. Please note: Due to the COVID pandemic, many of our volunteer programs are currently on hold. Please contact us for more information about how you can volunteer at KCPL.
