KCPL's Friends of the Library Foundation holds its 11th annual "A Tisket, A Tasket, A Literary Basket" silent auction at Temple Israel on April 29th, 2017. The event raises more than $32,000 for the library. The basket auction is a major social event for the library and generates financial support for KCPL events, classes and programs. The most important beneficiary of the basket auction is the KCPL summer reading program - the Summer Library Club, which provides reading programs for children, teens, and adults.
