Event Details
Kanawha County Master Gardener Pam King will present a program on Kokedama, a centuries-old Japanese form of garden art that is closely tied to the practice of bonsai. “Koke” means moss, and “dama” means ball. Kokedama involves using a moss ball as the supporting and the focal point for a plant that consists of wrapping the plant’s roots in a ball of soil which you then cover with moss. The class includes a PowerPoint, detailed instructions and demonstration of how to wrap the plant into a moss ball. Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win one free kit.
