Join us for a workshop with the Kanawha County Master Gardeners and learn how to involve your novice family members and children in the garden. This workshop will explore best practices and demonstrations for planting microgreens and vegetables.
Children are invited to attend this program with adult supervision.
After teaching 34 years, Beverly Stern completed her certification to become a Kanawha County Extension Master Gardener in December 2019. She travels around West Virginia with Keys 4 Healthy Kids doing preschool gardening, and teaches Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) for River Valley Child Development Services.
The West Virginia University Extension Master Gardener Program is a volunteer educational program meeting the horticultural needs of everyday West Virginians. The program trains volunteers, utilizing their expertise to teach others more about plants, their culture, their importance to the environment and to our quality of life.
