Event Details
Meet the artists! Join us for a reception with the artists of Base Camp Printing Co. to celebrate their featured spot on the Main Library's third floor Art Wall installation. The artists will begin with a short presentation, followed by a meet-and-greet.
Base Camp Printing Co. is a vintage letterpress shop, design studio, and retail store offering unique modern designs using old-fashioned handmade printing techniques. Everything from concert and event posters to personal stationary and wedding invitations is designed in-house and printed by hand on old-school printing presses using traditional methods of setting type and hand-carving images.
Base Camp is co-owned by sisters Emily and Betsy Sokolosky. You can visit the print shop at 1314 Hansford St. in Charleston.
