Program Description

Event Details

A hat speaks long before its wearer utters a word.  It's what Deirdre Guion calls "hattitude..."

Please join the Partnership for Furthering Arts & Education, the Black Voter Impact Initiative, Black By God magazine, and the American Civil Liberties Union of West Virginia for our make and take "crown" event.  Craft a hat, fascinator, or traditional crown and learn more about Black Policy Day 2025.  Crafts and tools provided, but feel free to bring some of your own if you're going for a specific look for your crown - perhaps a look that speaks to the customs you observe, the symbols you prize, or simply the fashions you fancy!
