Program Description

Event Details

Join Poet James Cochran in a poetry circle outside the library on the plaza facing Capitol Street. Share work that you have penned or favorite works by Celtic poets, as part of Charleston's 2024 Celtic Calling festivities. Time permitting, we will also do some mindfulness based writing exercises to channel seasonal and cultural connections to the land.

James Cochran is a proudly Appalachian writer, transplanted from the soil of Southeastern Ohio to the hilly streets of Charleston, West Virginia. He embraces the practice of mindfulness through writing, and writing through mindfulness, and enjoys listening to the neighbor’s wind chimes.

This program will take place outside the library on the plaza. In the case of inclement weather, please join us in Room 308/309 for this program on the third floor of the library.
