The Advisory Board for the St. Albans Branch Library, is proud to present St Albans Writes, a monthly speaker series featuring local authors. Tom Moore, who writes under the pen name Ryan Baxter, will talk about his works that reflect Appalachia in general or West Virginia specifically, his Virginia/West Virginia roots run deep.

Moore has published three books, two fiction, one non-fiction. The fiction books include The Secret Valley: A Tale of Ancient Nepal, Tibet, India and China as well as a science fiction novel, Terra 12: Paradise Found. His non-fiction work relays the spiritual journey of a great soul entitled Mother Stella: Her Song of Love.

Part of May’s presentation will focus on the (open) secret of creativity as well as considering what road does humanity wish to travel going forward to the future. These are themes that run through the body of his work. This will be an interactive session where attendees are welcome to participate and provide their perspective to the discussion.

Every work of art should have as its goal the wish to uplift people, to provide a greater understanding of what matters in our lives.
